september+charity:water+my birthday=clean water for the bayaka people

i first heard of charity:water about 6 months ago. i love what they're about. there are so many people who suffer from dehydration, malnutrition, or other illnesses because they do not have access to sanitary water. charity:water uses 100% of donations to build wells in villages all over the world that do not have access to or have to walk several miles a day to get water.
september is charity:water's birthday month. so they're launching a campaign to raise money to build wells for the Bayaka people in Central African Republic. watch this to learn more:

charity: water 2010 September Campaign: Clean Water for the Bayaka from charity: water on Vimeo.

september is also my birthday month. i will be 21. so for my birthday i decided to set a goal to raise $210 by september 3rd (my birthday) for charity:water. i donated $21 to get the ball rolling. i would love for all of you to participate. i'm willing to bet you have $21 you would normally spend eating out throughout the week, going to a movie, buying me a birthday gift (just kidding) whatever you're into. that $21 [$20 really] could provide one person with clean water for 20 years! between now and september 3rd i challenge you to use that $21 [or how much ever you feel you can donate--even a dollar helps] to help me reach my $210 goal and provide 10 people with clean water.

click here for the link to my profile page. it makes it very simple and clear on how to donate. plus, if you do donate, i receive an e-mail notification indicating who donated. if you contribute, you will be entered into a drawing for my first ever giveaway. for additional entries, tell a friend about my campaign and leave a comment letting me know. SPREAD THE WORD. i'll send a package on my birthday with a few of my favorite things...

remember, even a dollar makes a difference, and i would love for everyone to participate! it's such a simple way to make a big difference in someone's life.

peace+love
