i decided it is a good thing it doesn't snow here. cause snow makes me feel like being curled up by the fire place watching white christmas or listening to mannheim steamroller and king's singers and drinking hot chocolate. basically it would probably make me trunky.
on wednesday we had lunch with germán and natacha. germán's phone rang and i thought, i know this song...why do i know this song? my comp said, hey, it's you! germán put my youtube video of "umbrella" as his ringtone. talk about embarassing.
after lunch we were walking to an appointment when i noticed a man pushing his car. so i said to my comp, let's go help him. we pushed his car about 7 or 8 blocks. we talked to him about god and he said he believes in Jesus Christ. that Christ is his life. then he said, "Jesus Christ is the father of God, right?" "no, actually, we believe that God is our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is His son and our brother". "oh, ya, so God is the son of Jesus Christ". teaching him should be fun.
i'm not really sure what happened this week. we had had so many teaching appointments all this change, then this saturday we didn't enter a single house until 9 p.m. i am not exagerrating. we literally walked all day long. tried to talk to everyone we saw. no one wanted anything. but it was a nice day so i didn't mind walking too much. plus last night we had a lesson with Patricio--his novio recently started going to church again. and we asked if he had prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet. he said he had and he wasn't sure if he had his answer, but that he felt an energy, something warm, as if it were true. bingo. then we asked what would it mean to him if he knew the book of mormon was true. he said, that would mean joseph smith would be a prophet and i would be baptized and be in the church with claudia and the kids. bingo. they just need to get married first.
but that's how the men in chile roll.
welp that's about all i've got this week. read the book of mormon. be an example of christ to all you meet. be worthy of the holy ghost and the lord will provide you with opportunities to share the gospel. i love you all extremedamente demasiado mucho! que les vaya bonito!
love,

This made me laugh because it happened sooooooo many times on my own mission. "Yes, I've read the entirety of the standard works, but the woman I'm living with would have to get divorced so we could get married and baptized."
Ah, missions.
