bueno familia,
the other day we were knocking doors and we rang this doorbell and i guess i should explain that in chile everyone has a locked gate in front of their house (the majority anyway) so you ring the doorbell and you're still like 5 feet away from the front door. anyway, we rang this doorbell and the door cracked open a little bit then slammed shut. it did that several times. we thought it was a little kid messing around so we rang again (peter denied christ 3 times. we always give people the chance to deny us 3 times). the door opened a little farther and slammed shut and did it again several times but we couldn't see anyone inside. we yelled "halo" and no one came out. we thought it was funny, so i rang it again. this time the door swung all the way open and slammed shut several times so then i felt like i was living in the changeling or some scary movie in the part when the music starts getting really intense and the people are just standing in the pathway of danger and you yell at the tv saying "run away you idiot!". so we decided we should leave. i think we'll go back and try again this week.
fernanda will be baptized on saturday. i've never seen anyone so excited to be baptized in my life. so i am really happy for her. ruben came to church despite his messed up knee and even asked the bishop for a priesthood blessing. our investigators rock.
our zone made french toast and pancakes today. maple syrup. mmmmm. god bless the usa. (p.s. fyi kerri last week for the fourth of july and actually all last week the weather was really perfect. it just started getting a little chilly (get it?) again today).
i love you all. stay out of trouble, stay in touch, and try not to think about me too much. but pray for me cause i have changes next week and i am little nervous about getting a new comp and going to a new sector and basically starting all over again. asi es la mision.
love,
kelli jean, hruss.
peace+love
