blessed family and friends,
i finally accepted something really hard for me to accept this week. i will never be a morning person. yes, we get up at 7 30 in the morning, but that doesn't mean i'm not a grouch. my poor comp. she told me one time that when she found out i was going to be her companion that she thought, well god wants to send me a trial to learn something. ha. but actually we get along really well and before you all get any ideas i've never fought with a companion.
the entire country was in ¨´paro¨´ this week and i don't know what the word would be in english because i don't remember our country being in paro for as long as i've been alive. basically most businesses didn't open and there was no public transportation. and it just so happened that wednesday morning we had a lesson in las rocas, a part of our sector very far away. seeing as we wouldn't be able to take a taxi we set out early in the pouring rain. we got almost to the bridge and saw a couple of taxis going out there but i hadn't brought my wallet and they were all full since there were only a few. so we walked for an hour to get to the appointment AND had to cross the bridge in the rain and chileans drive really fast and i think the only time i was ever more afraid of getting hit by a car was on ride idaho riding in the rain on the freeway with lumber trucks flying past us. then we walked another 40 minutes to lunch. i decided we need bikes. but it was great cause we now have a new investigator and i got some extra exercise that day.
we also found this couple who the guy writes and sings christian music. he played some songs for us and wants us to come over one monday to play music and sing. ha.
welp, life is just dandy. thanks for all the birthday greetings. i will be turning 21 again for your information. be good. be true. be nice. and be cool.
i love you all more than i love playing in the rain with my boots.
love,
kelli jean, hruss.
peace+love
