dear ol' d-a-d

virtual kiss on the cheek (i hate high-fives) to whoever can name the movie to which the post title belongs.
sometimes i'm kind of a romantic
.
which is why i am in love with these photos of my parents that i found the other day while going through some old albums.

this is my handsome father's james dean-esque pose, circa 1973. i think it's the suspenders.mis padres as young, married, college students (1978, mom?) it makes my heart smile.i don't actually know anyone in this photo, also circa 1973, but my dad grew up in this tiny town called Orderville. tiny as in population 596 and shrinking. (seriously, it topped out at 700 in the 1870's). anyway, this was for a parade or something.i look like my mom in this picture...except she's more beautiful
peace+love

Fu-neee. I was kind of cute but that grad picture makes me look like I've been raised from the dead. Watch what you post - you could lose your job (and your funding - tee hee). LM

PS the suspenders picture is your dad on his mission, he was too skinny to keep up his pants.

yes yes, i know--i figured that out with the canadian flag in the background (plus it says on the back of the picture). i don't think you look raised from the dead. i think you look "hauntingly" beautiful.
