hola mi vida! mis amorcitas!
on monday night we went to visit my friend franco. the inactive member with drug problems that owns a mini gambling shop. his friend was there completely high and drunk. very classy. he started to talk to abby and i in english. he said, "i'm drunk." "i like hip hop underground" "my name is baby face". he knew who the utah jazz are. why? "espn live". i just wish you all could have been there to hear his accent saying all these ridiculous things. he started smoking what i thought was a really strong ciggarette so i asked him to go outside to smoke. that night i came home with the munchies. also that night we were contacting people in the street and we started talking to this middle aged man. after about 30 seconds i started wishing we'd never started talking to him. he told us, "for me, you're like a dream. the two most beautiful women i've seen in years." oh gosh. chilean men.
besides that, we also taught luis who is basically the golden investigator who after the first lesson told us, "i have to tell you. this week i had to do a dance performance. i was really nervous so right before i went on stage i prayed for God to help me not be nervous and i didn't feel nervous at all during the entire performance and we won. i know God answers my prayers." i love him.
also anson stopped us in the street. he was a contact we did in the summer (with hna espinosa) who has studied every religion except ours and is in search of the truth. we passed by a few times in the summer but he could never recieve us. when he stopped us he said, i can now study with you! please come to my house on sunday!
i just want you all to know right at this moment "the winner takes it all" is playing in the internet place. i love my life right now.
anyway, life is good here in chile. abby and i are just enjoying our time doing lots of contacts, teaching lots of lessons, and being cat called every time a car drives by. i hope this letter finds you all happy and healthy. stay out of trouble and stay in touch. i love you all infinitely.
