pretty much anyone who knows me well can testify i pride myself on making great mixes. i love creating playlists of similar types of songs that flow smoothly and fit a certain mood (a talent unfortunately my father lacks so who knows where it came from). anyway, i love making cd's for my friends full of music they usually haven't heard but i think they would like.
last night i met a good friend's roommate who is in my ward. his name is scott and he is extremely talented: photographer, musician, and i wouldn't be surprised to find out he's an artist. basically he gets paid to write music (even if they are just cheesey little jingles to help little kids learn spanish). oh and he's really smart. anyway, i'll stop because that is not the point. the point is we talked for 2 hours about music because, come to find out, we have the same taste in music! my love for making great mixes came up, so he gave me the "ultimate music challenge". the goal is to come up with my top 20 songs for a disc. it doesn't need to flow well, it's just my 20 favorite songs. classical, jazz, rock, folk, 80's...whatever...there are about 80 on my list right now and it's only growing....scott's list took him 8 months, i really hope i'm not racking my brain for that long...anyway, i pass the challenge to you. once you come up with your top 20 songs add the list to my comments and as soon as i come up with my list i will post it.
in the mean time, does anyone know how to upload an mp3 on blogger and i'll post one of scott's songs (not a spanish jingle, but a good song)?

So, did Scott also ask you on a date? Because a smart boy who finds a girl he enjoys talking to for two hours will ask her out.
Wait... So is scott the code name for stuart? Did someone say breathing excercises?;)
ok, sarah-he did not ask me on a date. i think he may possibly have a girlfriend. plus he's actually pre-mission...and 5 months younger than me. dave-you are so so funny. the hilarious part about that is that secretly i really want stuart. i think he has a hot bod. and the breathing excercises are hot. plus he hangs out with band geeks. and he's from idaho, my favorite state EVER
Look tell this kid I will wait for him on his mission. I will buy the poster and send him care packages and when he returns we will make beautiful music together.
