earth day, everyday

i saw this movie last night. i had to keep reminding myself that the vibrant colors and flowing movement was real, not animated. every living creature on the earth has a spirit. these animal have personalities and a purpose. the movie made my heart break.

i didn't know much about the oil spill before this and now that i know a little more i wish the focus would shift. because ultimately, it doesn't matter whose fault the oil spill is. what matters is that it gets fixed so the oil stops flowing into the ocean and destroying lives.

there is one part in "oceans" that shows how much pollution is being spilled into the ocean everyday from us. you don't have to be an activist by any means, but i do encourage everyone to try a little harder. turn off the lights. throw your garbage in trash bins. ride your bike more. and pray that this thing gets fixed fast. this is our earth and it's our job to take care of it.

when i grow up

i have a really hard time deciding what i want now, and what i want for the next few years of my life...so i'm starting this new thing where i decide what i'm going to do in 7 or 8 years from now.
to do:
-live in portland. maybe san diego. and maybe san fran.-own an old english sheepdog. and a siberian husky. and maybe a basset hound. oh, and a bernese mountain dog.-own a tonkinese (yes, i still miss my cat). and a birman. and maybe a cornish rex.
-if i'm going to have all these pets i probably can't move that much. guess i'll stay in portland.
-and i want a sick bose sound system. not necessarily a tv...just speakers.
...welp, that pretty much covers it.
and when you grow up?

-driving a unimog-offroading in a unimog-almost dying on a unimog-the old guy on his roller blades carrying speakers and interpretive dancing
-trespassing for the sake of a
picnic at the rock foundation of a house that burned down on top of a hill overlooking a lake
-kicked out of two apartment complex's hot tubs
-going out with a bang: late night swim at fletcher's cove and moonlight beach, almost a full moon, then warming up in some housing developments hot tub.(i broke more laws this weekend than i have in a long time)(wow, i look terrified)full moon. beach. bonfire. layers of waves grabbing my toes.
i thought, being here, experiencing this, how could you not believe in God?
