scared

i am afraid of the dark.  very afraid.
two nights ago i was having a hard time falling asleep.  i finally started nodding off at about 1:30 a.m.  then at 2 i was awakened by a sound in the bathroom.  i looked over and the bathroom light was on.  my heart started pounding and my imagination racing as i thought "i didn't hear anyone come in and someone just randomly appeared in the bathroom." i pictured bloody mary, chucky, phsycho preparing to chop me into pieces and flush me down the toilet.  i grabbed my phone off the nightstand to call my roommate to come to the rescue.  the phone rang twice when the bathroom door swung open.  my roommate stood in the doorway and said, "are you calling me?"
geez.  how the heck did she get in the bathroom without me hearing her...?

oh well...here's the reason i am growing to love provo

"a scene with the trimmings of 'thrill'"

yesterday i climbed a boulder without a harness...and almost fell

as liz, my roommate, and i were talking about our current desire for a more exciting love life, she whipped out a little prose given to her by a man while in her com graphics class...he is over 60-years-old:
"i love looking at the back of your head...
oh, how it creates the suspense of when finally you turn around!
Then, stride down the aisle with your vigorous leap and most foxy steps...
As you address me with a "Hi" and I respond with a "How are you?"...Say, "Fine" and I return with a "How are you"-you then say, "Fine" and I return with, "Boy, you SURE are!" Then on your way back...your exciting blonde hair and super-large earrings actually shake and stimulate the very classroom air with scintillating, static motion-as you relax your magnetic, energized body, which is jubilantly dressed in black, and you commence reading your workbook again, while sexily "fingering" your computer keys...and once again...ah ha! I have the view of the back of your head...in the most "scrumptious" manner!"

toto, we're not at byu anymore

today i was sitting in the library reading my history book when i saw something out of the corner of my eye...i looked up only to find a woman dressed in a full-length black dress with a black hat and a black veil covering her face walking very slowly in front of me--almost stopping...my heart began to pound and my feet got all tingly like they were ready to run away from any sudden movements...she walked to the end of the row of chairs, turned very slowly, and began walking away...creepy...
after that i decided i was going home to study, safe from any strange women dressed in black...when i told my friend lindsey about it she acted like it was totally a normal thing to happen at suu...when i told my roommates about it, liz informed me she was advertising for the fall shows of the Shakespearean festival, specifically "lady in black"--that play is going to scare the beegeebees out of me
